Sheep and Sunflowers...

I went out on another sign-painting excursion along one of our interstates a week ago to paint some billboards. Saw some neat lookin' sunflowers and some curious sheep....... and it is still really hot out here.....112 degrees today!!!

MONARCH TIME...

There must have been 20-30 monarch butterflies that came migrating through my yard the other day on their way south. It was really something to see.............

SIGNWORK UP NORTH
|
|
Last week I took off for northern Wisconsin to do some sign work on the side of Jack Links Snackfoods main factory in Minong Wisconsin. Beautiful country up there. I was too busy to take any side trips to shoot nature shots. It was really HOT there, as it is here.............105 degrees, as it still is here now. The two wall logos were 20' X 20' and 10' X 10' respectively....

FIREWORKS...

The 4th of July went out with a real bang from the State Fairgrounds here in Huron. I didn't know they were having fireworks on the 4th, because they shot some off the night before. I went home and got my camera just in time....
I'll be going out of town to work and won't be back till after the 15th of July.....stay tuned.

These are from my archive. For two years now I've always posted squirrel shots in July, but unfortunately they are not around this year except for one loner that comes to drink from the bird bath in late afternoon. I miss them.......

These little critters are seen trying to cross busy highways during the late spring and early summer........so whenever I see them, I stop to give them a ride to the nearest watering hole down the road........

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!! I feel better now. My cameras are home from being repaired, and it's like getting my best friends back.
Couldn't wait to get out to take these!!!

IN MEMORY OF....

I still haven't rec'd my cameras back from Nikon repair....hopefully next week......
So far this season, I haven't seen ANY of my squirrel buddies around at all, except for one loner that came to get a drink out of my birdbath a week or so ago. I can't figure out what happened to them. But.....I have an archive of about 500 shots of them that I can post occassionally......like this set taken last summer. Wherever they went, I pray they're all OK.
