BLIZZARD!!!

Well, March has come in "like a lion".....and we have been snowed IN for 2 days. The blizzard of 2007 isn't supposed to end until tomorrow night. The street I live on is impassable. I walked to the local quick-stop to get a pizza for tonight. Everything else including all the stores in town are closed. I did manage to see one of my hungry buddies out and around and gave him some corn I had stored for him...........

Every sunrise and sunset is different in South Dakota. The color and ambience changes constantly, and one thing about watching them is that there is plenty of wide open sky to capture everything.....

Since 1997, I have studied the Moon through NASA Lunar Orbiter and Apollo photography. I order the negatives through NSSDC, Greenbelt MD. and then print both full and sectional prints. Many of you haven't seen the Moon from a 110 mile orbit, so here are a few NASA prints. It's like flying right over it........

I'm really missing the colors of nature right about now. It's -30 degrees below zero outside, and there isn't much color out right now in the dead of winter.........so - from the archive, here are some GREEN iris stems from the garden last spring.
