I've always liked the moods created by sunsets and sunrises.....and S. Dakota has a wide open sky that has created unique spiritual ambiences for me.

(OOPS...messed up posting dates here a bit....... These are supposed to be for July 1st.)

Yesterday, the grasses took on fantastic hues and views
later on toward sunset. I got eaten up by mosquitos taking these, but I just
had to post them....another set of this soothing summer sight.

The Grass So Little Has To Do...
(Emily Dickenson)

A Sphere of simple Green â??
With only Butterflies to brood
And Bees to entertain â??

And stir all day to pretty Tunes
The Breezes fetch along â??
And hold the Sunshine in its lap
And bow to everything â??

And thread the Dews, all night, like Pearls â??
And make itself so fine
A Duchess were too common
For such a noticing â??

And even when it dies â?? to pass
In Odors so divine â??
Like Lowly spices, lain to sleep â??
Or Spikenards, perishing â??

And then, in Sovereign Barns to dwell â??
And dream the Days away,
The Grass so little has to do
I wish I were a Hay â??
